Tim has played bass in several local Chicago bands before Death Metal Band Oppressor in 1991. It was in this band that Tim decided to step up to bass and vocal duties, as well as, keyboards in the studio. After 2 demos (World Abomination and As Blood Flows), Oppressor signed its first record deal to Red Light records in 1993. Oppressor released 3 studio albums, a 7”, and a Live + album in the early and late 90’s. In 1997 Tim formed the band Soil with fellow Oppressor members Adam and tom, as well as longtime friend, Shaun Glass. The band in its early stages started off as a side project and quickly rose in popularity to become the main focus of its members. Soil signed a small independent deal with Mia Records in 1998 to release an EP and full length. Two months after the release of Soil then got its big break and signed to J Records in March of 2001 after the song “halo” had become a smash hit in Orlando, FL and exploded at radio there. In 2001 Soil’s major label debut album “scars” was released and launched Soil into the mainstream of music and popularity. In 2004 the original singer of 7 years left and new vocalist AJ joined to release the album “True Self” in 2006. Tim formed the Mortal Music record label in 2005 with long time friend Rob Such of the band Twelfth Gate. The debut album from the band Index Case was released on Mortal Music in September of 2005. Tim Also linked up with Alabama’s Lock 13 and co-produced their debut album “Inner Enemy”, as well as played bass on the song “tomorrow”. Breaking into the producer aspect of the business Tim’s latest project is the band 9mm Solution in which Tim produced 4 tracks and will be going into the studio to complete a full length in late 2007. Lock 13 will be released through Crash Music/Mortal Music in early 2008 and 9mm Solution will be released in mid 2008 via Corporate Punishment Records/Mortal Music. Mortal Music also manages the band The Autumn Offering . For more updates visit the band’s my space pages (above).
